Agricultural Drones for UK Farming

Agricultural drones are changing the way British farmers manage crops, spray fields, and spread seed or fertiliser. At Drone Sales UK, we supply the DJI Agras T25 and T50 – advanced spraying and spreading drones designed to improve efficiency, cut labour costs, and support more sustainable farming practices.

Why Choose DJI Agras Drones?

  • Precision Application – Reduce chemical use and water waste with targeted spraying.
  • Labour Savings – Cover acres in minutes, reducing reliance on manual spraying or tractor passes.
  • Versatile Use – Suitable for arable, fruit farms, vineyards, and mixed agriculture.
  • Proven Reliability – Built with phased-array radar, binocular vision, and GPS/RTK navigation for safe and consistent operations.

DJI Agras T25 – Compact & Flexible

The DJI Agras T25 is ideal for small to medium-sized farms, orchards, and plots where space and access are limited. With a 20 L spray tank and 35 L spreading hopper, it provides excellent manoeuvrability without compromising performance.

DJI Agras T50 – Power & Productivity

For larger farms and contractors, the DJI Agras T50 offers unmatched efficiency. With up to 40 L spraying capacity or 75 L spreading, it delivers wide coverage per flight, making it a cost-effective tool for professional-scale operations.

UK Regulations & Licensing

Before operating agricultural drones in the UK, farmers and contractors should be aware of the legal requirements:
  • Spraying licence (UK): Drone crop spraying must comply with HSE/CRD rules. Professional operators need a certificate of competence (PA1 plus the appropriate application unit). Because drones are treated as aerial application, HSE aerial-spray permission is also required for PPPs, alongside the CAA Specific category authorisation and insurance
  • CAA Drone Regulations – The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulates drone operations. Commercial spraying and spreading requires the correct Operational Authorisation under UK drone law.
  • Safe Operation – Drone Sales UK provides guidance on best practice, ensuring you remain compliant while getting the best results in the field.

Why Buy from Drone Sales UK?

We understand that agricultural drones are a new investment for many UK farmers, which is why we offer:
  • Expert UK Advice – Helping you choose the right system for your farm.
  • Setup & Training – Including support with spraying regulations and safe drone operation.
  • After-Sales Support – UK-based service, repairs, and ongoing technical assistance.
  • Price Match Guarantee – Always competitive against other UK suppliers.
With the DJI Agras T25 and T50, UK farmers can increase productivity, cut costs, and reduce environmental impact – all with full support from Drone Sales UK.

Frequently Asked Questions

How easy are they to use?

Very. One-button take-off/landing, clear screen prompts, and guided missions. We provide hands-on training so you’re confident from day one.

Can they work in wind or rain?

Operate within the wind limits in the manual and avoid heavy rain. Plan spraying around weather windows for best coverage and safety.

How do I refill in the field?

Quick-release tanks and hoppers make refilling fast. A simple field setup (water, chemicals or granular product, PPE, and a level area) keeps you moving.

How many people are needed?

One pilot can fly; a second person speeds up battery swaps and refills on larger jobs.

What if something goes wrong mid-job?

Missions can be paused and resumed. Return-to-Home and safety systems help protect the aircraft. Our UK team stocks spares and can support repairs quickly.

How do I charge batteries on the farm?

Use the DJI field charger with a generator or suitable site power. We can advise on generators and charging setups that suit your workload.

Will the drone damage my crops?

Prop wash is minimal at the recommended height and speed. Proper setup ensures good coverage without flattening plants.

How long do the batteries last?

Expect many hundreds of charge cycles with proper care. We’ll advise on best practices to maximise battery life.

Is transport easy?

Yes. Both models fold for transport and fit in pickups, vans, or small trailers with room for batteries and a generator.

What acreage can they cover?

The T25 can spray up to ~30 acres/hour; the T50 up to ~50 acres/hour — flow rates depend on terrain and pattern.

How do obstacle systems work?

Both have front and rear phased-array radar and binocular vision enabling autonomous terrain following and avoidance up to 50° slopes.

Can they spray and spread dry fertiliser?

Yes. The T25 supports up to 25 kg dry spread, while the T50 supports up to 50 kg with spinner disks.

How fast is charging and flight time?

Battery swap and charging times vary. Flight duration per battery pack: ~10–20 min depending on payload. Charging in 9–12 minutes with DJI generator.

Is GNSS/RTK available?

Both drones support GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo with RTK for ±10 cm hover accuracy.

Do I need a licence to spray in the UK?

Yes. Crop spraying must comply with HSE/CRD rules and requires appropriate PA (Pesticide Application) certification. You’ll also need a CAA Operational Authorisation to fly agricultural drones for spraying or spreading.

Which CAA rules apply to Agras drones?

Agras drones are too large for hobby flying or the A2 CofC. In the UK they fall into the Specific category, which means you need a CAA Operational Authorisation. To get this, operators usually complete a SORA (Specific Operations Risk Assessment) or equivalent safety case. Drone Sales UK can guide you towards training and paperwork support to make sure you stay compliant.

Do I need insurance?

Yes. Commercial drone use in the UK requires appropriate aviation liability insurance. We can point you to UK insurers familiar with agricultural operations.

Do Drone Sales UK provide training and setup?

Yes. We offer onboarding, setup, and UK-focused training, plus guidance on meeting HSE/CRD and CAA requirements.

What can I apply with these drones?

Liquid pesticides, foliar feeds, and fertilisers (spraying), plus seeds or granular fertilisers (spreading), subject to product labels and UK regulations.

Are mapping and RTK base stations supported?

Yes. The Agras workflow supports RTK positioning for high-accuracy operations and integrates field planning via the DJI agriculture app ecosystem.

Can I finance or lease the T25/T50?

Yes. Finance and lease options are available to UK businesses subject to status. Ask our team for a tailored quote.

What support do you offer after purchase?

UK-based after-sales support, servicing, spares, and repairs — plus our price match promise.
